Features: The Bizen Osafune Sukesada group was a collective of swordsmiths active in the late Muromachi period.
During this time—at the height of the Sengoku period—there was a high demand for swords,
and many were produced in regions like Bizen and Mino. Sukesada operated a large workshop employing numerous craftsmen
and produced a great number of blades signed with the same name.
This particular piece is considered one of the earlier works among
the Sukesada blades and is believed to be a well-crafted example, made with care and attention to detail.

Koshirae: Tachi Koshirae.
Tsuba: Tachi-style tsuba carved with arabesque patterns.
Menuki: Design of a cross-shaped spear (jumonji-yari).
Fuchikashira: Decorated with paulownia crests in gold.
Saya: Vermilion lacquered pear-skin saya featuring paulownia crests.
