Mr. Nariki Isssei (born in 1931) studied under the late Mr. Takahashi Kaisyu and devoted many years to reproducing iron tsuba from Owari, Akasaka, Kanayama, and other schools. He personally collected iron sand from various regions across Japan and worked to recreate the original iron material used in these tsuba through traditional tatara smelting methods.
