A well-preserved piece with deep curvature and an extended kissaki, giving it a dignified appearance.

Hamon (Temper line): Nie-deki with dense activity, featuring prominent kinsuji and sunagashi.

Characteristics: Taira Sadashige was born on March 25, 1923, in Aichi Prefecture. His real name was Kiyomi Imai. He studied sword-making under Living National Treasure Takahashi Sadatsugu.
He received multiple awards in the Shinsaku Meitō Ten (Newly Made Master Sword Exhibition), and in 1943, he was appointed a designated swordsmith for the Kokura Army Arsenal.
He is regarded as one of the representative swordsmiths of the Showa era.

Comment from Aoi Art:A nie-deki gunome-midare hamon with long kinsuji and active sunagashi on both sides.
The bright, clear jigane is outstanding among modern swords, and the especially long kinsuji is remarkable.
With ample length, deep curvature, and an extended kissaki, this sword features excellent overall shape and balance.
