Features: Dewa Daijo Fujiwara Kunimichi was the most prominent disciple of Horikawa Kunihiro.
He was born around 1576 (Tensho 4), and due to his long life, produced many swords.
It is believed he received the title of Dewa Daijo between 1614 and 1615 (Keicho 19–20).
His works often feature the Mishina Boshi, where the boshi curves in a notare style and returns.
This style was shared with other smiths from the Kanemichi lineage such as Echigo no Kami Masatoshi, the first generation Tanba no Kami, and Iga no Kami Kinmichi.
His jigane often resembles the Soshu-den, with a rugged surface and prominent grain like his teacher Kunihiro’s, often featuring flowing masame.
