Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with jinei attached, showing a fine grain texture.
Hamon: Nie-deki with suguha base, occasionally featuring double hamon. Boshi turns back in komaru.

Features:　Izumo Daijo Fujiwara Yoshitake was the son of Horikawa Kunitake.
He was also known as Kawate Ichidayu.
He moved from Kyoto to Edo, originally signing as Izumo Daijo, later changing to Izumo no Kami.

Koshirae: Army Gunto Koshirae (Imperial Japanese Army officer’s mountings)

Aoi Art’s Comment:　This sword comes with an Army officer’s mounting in excellent condition.
It is likely that the father gave this sword to his son upon his enlistment as an officer in the army, in preparation for deployment.
The father must have prayed for his son’s martial fortune, and the mother surely wished for his safe return.
