This sword belongs to Saijyo saku, ranking.
Habaki : Gold double foiled habaki.
Blade length : 67.2 cm or 26.45 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.67 inches.
Mekugi : 4 but 2 filled.
Width at the hamachi : 2.62 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the kissaki : 1.65 cm or 0.64 inches
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura Period
Shape : O-Suriage mumei with regular width and thickness.
The shape is elegant.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada and Ko-Mokume Hada mixed with Jinie attached. The Jigane is nice.
Hamon : Nie deki suguha with soft nioiguchi. Boshi is round turnback.
Special feature : NIo continues from Nanbokucho period to late Kamakura.
He has been active at Suo province(now Yamaguchi prefecture).
It is somewhat similar to Enju but has more soft and well graine jigane.
The jigane of this NIo is top class.
Koshirae:
Tsuba : Round shape iron tusba with ride wim. It is fancy tsuba.
Fuchi : Shakudo plate with chrysanthemum design engraved and inlaid with gold.
Kashira : Shakudo plate with wave design engraved and inlaid with gold.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : Gold Dokko
