We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Bishu Ju Mano Kuniyasu.

Era: Around 1945 (Showa 20), during wartime
Shape: The blade has a relatively wide body, thick kasane, with curvature and an extended kissaki.
Approximately 10 cm of original temper (nashiba) remains.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada, tightly forged, with a plain appearance.
Hamon: A mainly straight hamon mixed with notare.
The nioiguchi is deep, and the boshi turns back with a rounded shape.
Aoi Art’s Comment: This sword was made during wartime.
At that time, military swords were essential for officers, so swordsmiths often received commissions.
Mano Kuniyasu from Bishu (Aichi Prefecture) was selected for the Army Gunto Technical Encouragement Association.
It is said that those who passed the strict examination and were selected were granted better rations of charcoal and iron sand.
