Shape: A sword with slightly wide body and thick kasane, showing deep curvature.
The kissaki is extended, and the overall shape is well proportioned.
Jigane: It is believed that this piece was made using Western steel.
Hamon: Nie-based gunome-midare, with round return on the boshi.
Features: This Western steel sword has been very well polished, allowing the surface grain to appear clearly.
As it is made of Western steel, it cannot pass as a Hozon Token even if it were unsigned.
Historical Context: A Western steel sword made during the wartime period.
It is polished so well that it appears similar to a traditional Japanese sword at first glance.
