Signature :　Hizen Kuni Ju Oumi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro.

This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
Habaki :　Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length :　72.8 cm or 28.7 inches.
Sori :1.9 cm or 0.75 inches.
Mekugi : 　1
Width at the hamachi : 3.24cm or 1.276 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane :0.69 cm or 0.272 inches.
The weight of the sword: 800 grams.
Era : Edo period Keian era. 1648.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep Sori and longer Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane :Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon :Nie deki suguha with small ashi and yo work.

Special feature: Oumi Daijyo Fujiwara Tadahiro was a son
of the first generation Tadayoshi　and studied the technique
from his father. After his father passed away, he succeeded
2nd generation. He said his name is Tadahiro not Tadayoshi during his life.
The age of his succeeded period was 19 years age and helped a lot from his father’s
students like Kawachi Daijyo Masahiro, Yukihiro, Tadakuni and other students.
Also under the protection of　Daimyo Nabeshima family, Hashimoto family could obtain Holland steal
So Tadahiro school could to make Hizen blade for a long period.
Nabeshima family heavily district to export Hizen blades to other places.
This sword is rather rare gunome midare hamon without Kizu and flow.
The blade is Oowaza mono cutting test ranking also Jojo saki high ranking sword.

Koshirae :
Saya :Shark skin kawarinuri saya.
Tsuba :Mokko silver plate. Ume tree and flowers are engraved.
Signture: Issei.his family name was Watanabe and learned from Hayashi Masamitsu and later on He moved to Edo and studied under the Hunada Ikkin. and go on his own job by himself at Aizu Wakamatsu age 38 years of age. He lived at Iwashiro province.
Menuki : an octopus is engraved by silver plate.
Fuchikashira. waves is engraved by silver plate.
