Habaki: Single-layered silver habaki

Curvature: 1.6 cm (0.63 in)

Era: Edo period, around Kanbun era
Shape: Wide mihaba, thick kasane, standard curvature, and extended kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada forming a beautiful jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki, an unusual pattern alternating between gunome-midare and suguha.
Boshi slightly midare-komi with round return.
Features:This sword bears a mei different from the genuine Tanba no Kami Fujiwara Terukado.
In particular, the yasurime differs, so it cannot be recognized as authentic.
Nevertheless, the workmanship is solid and enjoyable.
The saya bears a sayagaki by Kanzan Sensei, but its authenticity is questionable.
We therefore sell this sword as “not guaranteed.”
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Nade-kakugata iron tsuba with dragon design.
Fuchikashira: Iron ground.
Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquer.
Menuki: Shakudo ground, carved with Mitsudomoe crest and decorated with gold iroe.
