Shape: slightly wide blade with Bohi carving on the both sides.
The boshi is in an inoshishi-kubi (boar’s neck) style.
Jigane: well-refined Jigane
Hamon:Nie-deki gunome-midare with active ashi.
Deep nioiguchi and a boshi that turns into a midare-komi style.

Features:Yamaguchi Kiyofusa, the modern swordsmith in Iwate, was born in 1932 and began stusying under Sumitani Masamine, a living national treasure swordsmith from 1966. He has won numerous awards since becoming independent in 1972, and was certified as Mukansa swordsmith in 1986. He has also made sword offerings to the Ise Shrine and is recognized as an intangible cultural asset by Iwate Prefecture. Like his master, Sunmitani Masamine, he specialized in Bizen-den and produced gorgeous Choji blades.
