Special feature: Mizuta Kschool is a group of swordsmiths in Bicchu that continued from the late Muromachi Period to the late Edo Period, and the pre-Edo Period Mizuta is called Ko(old)-Mizuta. This piece is notable for its beautiful jigane, reminiscent of Bizen blades. It is likely that Mizuta had access to high-quality iron sourced from the Bizen region.
