Features: Chikushū Jū Kunitomo was a swordsmith from Fukuoka, Kyushu, and a disciple of Komiya Shirō Kunimitsu. With 11 awards to his name, Kunitomo crafted high-quality blades. This piece showcases strong masame hada with dark chikei and active sunagashi and kinsuji within the hamon. Even the kissaki reflects the skilled presence of kinsuji.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This is an exceptionally well-made blade. It appears to have been crafted with inspiration from Kamakura-era swordsmith Kanemitsu. A remarkable work worth appreciating.
