Shape: Broad width with deep curvature, forming Mitsumune.
Engraving on the front side includes a Ken sword, a Tokko (vajra), and a claw motif.
On the reverse side, a Bo-hi groove with a secondary groove is engraved.
Jigane: Well-forged Itame-hada with visible grain.
Hamon: Gunome-midare with Hitatsura-style tempering.
Boshi: Pointed and turns back.
Features: Shimada Sukemune was a swordsmith active around the Eisho era.
He is known for many works with Hitatsura-style tempering.
Due to the similarity of signatures across generations, it is difficult to distinguish between them, and this remains a subject of future study.

Inscription: Echizen Ju Kinai
Menuki: Design of horses on shakudo base with gold iroe (colored metal inlay).
