Shape: Slightly small tanto with a carving of a ken (sword) and claw on the front side of the blade.
The carving on the reverse side has mostly faded.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada with a faint utsuri appearing.
Hamon: Suguha begins near the hamachi and continues as straight temper line.
The boshi turns back smoothly in a rounded shape.
Features: Taira Harumori was a swordsmith of the Takada school in Bungo province.
This work features particularly beautiful jigane.

Fuchikashira: Made of silver with high-relief carving of wave design.
Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquered saya with grooves near the koiguchi.
Kozuka: Made of silver with wave design carved.
Warikogai: Made of silver with wave design carved.
Menuki: Seven paulownia crests (kiri-mon) with iroe (colored metal inlay).
