We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Mumei (Sengo).

Curvature: 0.5 cm (0.20 in)

Sword Weight: 210 g
Era: Late Muromachi period
Shape: Standard width and thickness, with slight curvature toward the tip.
Jigane: Itame hada, well-forged with visible grain and fine chikei.
Hamon: Gently undulating midareba, with matching patterns on both sides.

Features: This piece was forged by the Sengo school, known for Muramasa. Features such as matching hamon on both sides and the distinctive “tanago-bara” (fish belly) shape of the tang are characteristic.
Though “Sengo” refers to the group following Muramasa, this particular piece closely resembles the work of the second-generation Muramasa.
