Features:
This blade is a Mumei shortend Tanto with a thick Kasane, reminiscent of yoroi-dōshi (armor-piercing dagger). It features a dark, refined jigane with prominent masame, indicating characteristics of Yamato style. Hōshō was swordsmith school in Yamato active from the late Kamakura period, and works produced after the Muromachi period are referred to as Sue(late)-Hosho.
