Shape: wideO-suriage Mumei blade with deep curveture and long kissaki. Bohi is carved.
Jigane: Itame and Mokume with faint utsuri
Hamon: Suguha mixed with Ko-gunome and Ashi.
Features: The Chiyozuru school refers to a group of swordsmiths from Echizen, said to have originated when Rai Kuniyasu moved to Echizen, and they are therefore also known as “Echizen Rai.”
The carved grooves of bohi and sohi are characteristic of the Chiyozuru school, designed to achieve both weight reduction and strength.
