Special feature:
Chounsai Emura, the warden of Okayama Prison, opened a Japanese sword smithy in the prison with the help of Ichiryushi Nagamitsu, a swordsmith who had been serving an army warrant, and had inmates make military swords.
Most Showa-era swords were poorly polished by machines, making them inferior in appearance compared to Yasukuni swords.
However, this piece is a serious work, and with proper polishing, it could be remarkably improved.
