Era: the late Muromachi period to the early Edo period
Shape: slightly thin and long blade with small curveture. Shinogi is thick and become thinner toward to the Mune.
Jigane: clean Itame and Mokume hada
Hamon: Ko-nie base Suguha with Koashi with Utsuri. Boshi is big rounded.
Features: Fujiwara Shigeyuki is known as a swordsmith who was active in Takada, Bungo Province around the Kanbun era (1661–1673) of the Edo period.
However, the jigane of this piece is excellent, and it gives the impression of being more old.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Shakudo plate with carving of waves and dragons.
Fuchikashira: iron plate with carving of a dragon.
Menuki: copper carving of chrysanthemums.
