Shape: The blade is slightly wide with a mitsumune shape, and the jigane is well-forged with visible utsuri.
Jigane: Mokume hada and itame hada are well-forged, producing a clear and refined jigane.
Hamon: A notare pattern with small nie appears, with a rounded tip.
Features:Kanekuni is a swordsmith from Mino province.
This work is a Hira-zukuri Tanto with a well-visible grain structure.

Kozuka: Shakudo base with a design of lions in gold.
Kogatana: Signed “Kin Hoshi Rai Kindō.”
Kōgai: Made of shakudo with a split kōgai design, decorated with spider threads and insects in gold iroe.
Fuchikashira: Diagonal carving on a shakudo base.
Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquered saya with a high-relief carving of a rooster on the rear section.
Menuki: High-relief carving of cherry blossoms.
