Features: This is a rare piece originally a blade by Kanenobu (early Muromachi period), later adorned with gold inlay inscriptions.
Kanenobu is believed to be a disciple of Naoue Shizu Kanetsugu and the younger brother of Kanetoshi.
The first generation Kanetoshi lived during the Kōsei era, initially residing in Mino, then relocating to Owari Shiga, where he was known as Shigaseki.
The initial appraisal identified the blade as “Chikushū-jū Sa,” but was later revised to Kanenobu.
It is a powerful and excellent work.
