We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku, and Regular Saku.
This piece is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Inshu Ju Kanesaki.
Habaki: Double-layered, silver and suaka (red copper)

Era: Mid-Edo Period
Shape: A moderately sized naginata with a crack near the corner,Machi(区),
Jigane: Itame-hada, well-forged and beautifully refined.
Hamon: Nie-deki, gunome-midare with a deep nioiguchi and active ashi. The boshi is round and turns back with a slightly lowered yakizume.

Features: Kanesaki was a swordsmith from Inaba, and this piece is considered a work from his later generations.

Koshirae:
Whole length:227cm(89.37 inches)
The Saya (scabbard) is decorated with the Maru ni Omodaka-mon (circle with water plantain crest).

Aoi Art’s Comment: This is a well-made piece, likely from a later generation of Kanesaki.
The deep nioiguchi, dynamic gunome-midare, and well-defined ashi make it an excellent work.
