Era : Around Bunei 2, the Kamakura period. Around 1264.
Shape : The blade isbroad and thick with deep Sori and longer Kissaki. Well-shaped.
Jigane : Koniedeki becomes dense to be like plain. On Sashiura, 15cm from Mune, there is a big Kirikomi-flaw. It had been possessed for a long time and there is some O-Itame, but it is polished and repaired nicely. Utsuri appears well in Jigane.
Hamon : Notare like Nioideki, Koashi comes in a lot. This work is really elegant. Boshi is Notare and ends with Yakizume.

Special feature: Suou Kuni Nio school is founded by Kiyotsuna, and there are works made in Bunei 2 and 1264. He made many Yamato-ish works and they affected swordsmiths even in the Muromachi period. There are many Todaiji-school temples in Suou, that is probably why they made many Yamato-ish swords. There characteristics are :Suguha-deki, Shirake-Utsuri in Jigane, Hamon with tight Nioikuchi, and the bright and wet Ha.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Iron is relatively new. Mokko-shaped iron Tsuba, Kuyo-crest is engraved.
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. Arabesque is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Black painted Saya
Menuki: On silver plate, family crest is engraved.

From Aoi Art: Above all, the greatest characteristic of this sword has to be the big flaw of the fight, 15cm from Sashiura Mune. We don’t know the details of the fight, but it is sure that there was a fight with this sword. It is really scared to imagine the scenery of those days.
