This blade is ranked as Jyo Saku among works signed Nōshū (remaining portion only).
Habaki: Double habaki with gold iroe.
Blade Length: 46.4 cm (18.27 in).
Curvature: 1.0 cm (0.39 in).
Mekugi Hole: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.89 cm (1.14 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.12 cm (0.83 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.67 cm (0.26 in).
Sword Weight: 500 g.
Era: Late Muromachi period.
Shape: A robust wakizashi with relatively deep curvature.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a prominent grain pattern.
Hamon: Nie-deki suguha. The boshi is slightly elongated and enters midare.

Features: Although the signature has been partially lost due to suriage, the remaining inscription “Nōshū” indicates that this is a Seki blade. It has the appearance of an excellent cutting sword. While there are some minor flaws and imperfections, it is a solid wakizashi that clearly exhibits the characteristic workmanship of the Seki tradition.

Tsuba: Round iron tsuba carved with an eggplant motif and decorated with gold iroe.
Fuchikashira: Carved with a festival scene and decorated with gold iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Black lacquered saya.
Menuki: Figure seen from the back, decorated with gold iroe.
Kozuka: Shibuichi kozuka carved with flowers and a crescent moon, decorated with gold iroe (there is a dent on the reverse side). Comes with kogatana.
