Sayagaki:
Yamashiro no Kuni Horikawa-jū Kunihiro. With a gold inlaid attribution by Hon’ami Kōson. This represents one interpretation of the blade. Blade length: slightly over 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu. Written by Kanzan on an auspicious day in the twelfth month of Showa 52 (1977). (Kaō)

This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among works attributed to Kunihiro (gold inlaid attribution).
Habaki: Single gold-foiled habaki.
Blade Length: 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu (70.6 cm (27.80 in)).
Curvature: 7 bu 5 rin (2.27 cm (0.89 in)).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.31 cm (1.30 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.60 cm (1.02 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.81 cm (0.32 in).
Sword Weight: 860 g.
Era: Keichō Shinto period (1596–1615).
Shape: A robust blade with a wide mihaba, thick kasane, and deep curvature. Grooves are carved near the upper portion on both sides. The omote is engraved with a suken, while the ura bears a bonji character.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada producing a refined and high-quality jigane.

Hamon: Nie-deki. Beginning in suguha and transitioning into gunome-midare with abundant ashi. The boshi is long and turns back in a rounded form.

Features: This is a solidly constructed blade of excellent workmanship. Its previous owner was Hiroshi Funasaka, a former Imperial Japanese Army sergeant renowned for fighting fearlessly in numerous battles. After the war, he operated a bookstore, which is now managed by his son. He was well known for his devotion to martial arts, his bold character, and the many remarkable stories surrounding his life. He also maintained a friendship with the author Yukio Mishima. It is said that the sword Mishima received before his death was a Magoroku Kanemoto.

There are traces of light surface rust in several areas. If polishing is desired, we can arrange it separately for ¥60,000.
