Features:
Hida-no-kami Ujifusa was an Owari swordsmith counted among the Owari Sansaku, the three great swordsmiths of Owari Province. As a youth, Ujifusa moved from Mino to Owari together with his father, Wakasa no Kami Ujifusa, who served Oda Nobunaga as a swordsmith. He served the Oda clan as a page (koshō). After his lord, Oda Nobutaka, was defeated in the succession struggle following Oda Nobunaga’s death and died, Ujifusa turned to swordsmithing and studied under his father, Wakasa no Kami Ujifusa, as well as Hōki no Kami Nobutaka. In 1592, he was granted the honorary title of Hida no Kami.
