Shape: blade with small curvature and little difference in width between the base and the tip.
Jigane: fine Jigane with packed grain pattern and Ji-ine.
Hamon: Based on dynamic Gunome with much ni making small midare and yubashiri on the top of hamon.

Features:
Echigo no Kami Fujiwara Kunitomo is regarded as one of the foremost disciples of Horikawa Kunihiro and is also said to have been Kunihiro’s nephew. The style of his signature and workmanship closely resemble those of the first-generation Izumi no Kami Kunisada and the first-generation Kawachi no Kami Kunisuke, suggesting that he was likely their direct instructor within the Horikawa school.
The Horikawa school is well known for its somewhat coarse, prominently textured jigane. However, this blade exhibits a much finer and more refined jigane, with the grain pattern remaining relatively subdued.
Although the presence of multiple mekugi-ana (peg holes) is a regrettable condition factor, the workmanship of the blade itself is truly excellent and clearly demonstrates Kunitomo’s exceptional skill as a swordsmith.
