Shinshinto: Hoki no Kami: Jyojyo-saku.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku).
This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Sasshu ju Masayoshi.
Habaki: Double-layer gold-covered habaki.

Era: late Edo period, 1779
Shape: A powerful blade with wide mihaba, thick kasane, deep curvature, and an elongated kissaki, giving it an excellent overall appearance.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-mokume hada.
Hamon: Nie-deki with a deep nioiguchi, mixed with notare.
The boshi continues into an irregular midare pattern.
Features: Sasshu ju Masayoshi was a Satsuma swordsmith and a disciple of Masachika.
In Kansei 1 (1789), he received the honorary title of Hoki no Kami and changed his name to Masayuki.
He died in Bunsei 2 (1819) at the age of 87.

Tsuba: Iron tsuba carved with floral motifs and decorated with gold and silver iroe.
Fuchikashira: Carved with dragons and waves, highlighted with gold iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Aogai-chirashi saya.
Menuki: Dragon motifs carved and highlighted with gold iroe.
