Shape: Wide-bodied Naginata-naoshi Wakizashi (a shortened naginata blade) with thin kasane and ruduced shinogi.
Jigane: Itame and Mokume with strong Masa covered wiht Jinie and fine Chikei. Whitish utsuri appears.
Hamon: Suguha with tight Nioikuchi with ko-ashi, hotsure and Sunagashi and kinsuji.

Features:
Kunisuke is said to have been the son of Kunimura, the founder of the Enju school, and is regarded as one of the more skilled smiths of the school. signed work dated Karyaku 2 (1327) survives.
This blade displays the characteristic features of the Enju school, with a finely forged jigane showing delicate chikei and a tendency toward masame, combined with a bright suguha hamon. The workmanship is excellent throughout. The fact that the blade bears an authentic signature is particularly valuable, and the nakago remains in very good condition.
