This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among works attributed to Mumei (Sue-Sa / O-Sa School).
Habaki: Gold-plated single Habaki.

Shape: Slightly wide blade, deeply curved, with bo-hi grooves carved on both sides, and a long kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada producing a refined and excellent steel surface.
Hamon: Nie-deki style, featuring gunome-midare with double-edged patterns, showing kinsuji upon close inspection, while the boshi continues in midare and turns back at the tip.
Features: Sue-Sa refers to the Samonji school swordsmiths of the Nanbokucho Period.
There were many active swordsmiths among the disciples and lineage of O-Sa during this era.
Among the signed works are those by Yasuyoshi, Yukihiro, Kunihiro, and others.
However, most surviving examples are limited to tanto and wakizashi.
The school is especially renowned for its beautiful jigane.
Samonji works are particularly noted for their outstanding steel surface and somewhat Soshu-den influenced workmanship with relatively compact hamon.
This work also possesses excellent jigane, and its Soshu-den influenced hamon displays a soft appearance enriched with beautiful kinsuji activities.

Tsuba: Iron ground carved with a four-directional square crest design and decorated with brass inlay.
Fuchikashira: Iron ground carved with paulownia flowers and karakusa scroll motifs, highlighted with gold-colored decoration.
Saya (Scabbard): Deep scarlet lacquered carved scabbard.
Menuki: Design of horsetail shoots and bracken.
