Special Features:
Shizu was originally the name of a region in Mino Province. Kaneuji, who is counted among one of the Masamune Juttetsu (Masamune’s 10 students), settled in this area and produced swords, becoming known as Shizu Saburo Kaneuji after the place name. Later, his disciples such as Kanetomo, Kanetsugu, Kaneshige, and Kanenobu moved to Naoe in Mino Province, and they came to be collectively called Naoe Shizu.

At first glance, this work resembles the style of Hasebe, and utsuri. The blade displays an abundance of activities in both the jigane and hammon, making it a highly captivating work with many points of appreciation.
