The first-generation Ōmi no Kami Hisamichi was a student of the second-generation Iga no Kami Kanemichi and is known as a leading smith of the Mishina school among the shintō swordsmithso f Kyoto. This work has a bright and vibrant appearance, with jigane and hamon that is well-tempered and abundantly covered in nie.
