Shape: A well-proportioned blade with sufficient width and thickness, moderate curvature, and an extended kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada, well-forged and forming a beautiful jigane.
Hamon: Made in nie-deki, featuring a double straight temper line (nijuba), with a deep nioiguchi.
At first glance, the hamon appears like that of a koto blade.
The boshi is double (nijuba), forming into a triple hamon (sanjuba) with active kinsuji.

Features: Known as the second generation Yamashiro Daijo, his real name was Otsuki Denshirō.
He was referred to as “Edo Mizuta” and also made swords in Tsuyama, Mimasaka Province.
While many of his works show a typical suguha style, this piece is notable for its flamboyant activities within the hamon.
It showcases the dynamic characteristics of the Mizuta school to great effect.
