We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyojo Saku (upper-high grade) among the works by this smith.
Habaki: Double-layered silver
Blade Length: 37.4 cm (14.72 in)

Sword Weight: 360 g
Shape:The blade is wide with a thick kasane. Two grooves are carved on both sides of the blade.
Jigane:Fine ko-itame hada, very well forged.
Hamon:Nie-deki with gunome-midare. The temper line rounds down at the end. The blade features bright and clear activity with kinsuji appearing in the ji.

Features:　Hyoshinshi Hideyo Nyudo initially studied under Ishido Unju Korekazu and later became a disciple of Suishinshi Masahide. His style strongly reflects the influence of his master Masahide.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Mokko-shaped iron tsuba carved with figures and landscape, accented with gold inlay.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako ground, carved with floral designs, detailed with gold inlay.
Saya (Scabbard): Decorated with scattered aogai (mother-of-pearl) and inlaid cherry blossoms.
Menuki: Shakudo base with high-relief carving of a dragon.
Kozuka: Shakudo nanako ground, carved with a human figure and gold inlay.
Includes kogatana (small utility blade).

Aoi Art’s Comment:　Hyoshinshi Hideyo Nyudo’s work closely resembles that of Suishinshi Masahide, and this piece is an excellent example. The blade shows active kinsuji within the ha. The accompanying koshirae is also finely crafted, making this a highly impressive set.
