Shape:
This is a suriage blade with machi-okuri. It has a wide body, thick kasane, and a long kissaki.
Jigane: The ko-itame hada is well-forged with ji-nie, resulting in a refined surface.
Hamon:The blade features a nie-based gunome midare hamon with active movements and rich variations. A magnificent work.

Features: Tametsugu is considered to be the son or a student of Go Yoshihiro, and is also said to have studied under Norishige. He was active during the mid-Nanbokucho period.
This blade is in healthy condition, features a shinogi-ji, and weighs 820 grams — a remarkable piece.

Aoi Art’s Comment: The curvature is strong, and the hamon shows dynamic activity. Sunagashi and kinsuji are visible within the blade. If polished again, this blade will likely become an even more vigorous and spirited piece.
