Shape: The blade has a wide body with thick kasane, moderate curvature, and an extended kissaki.
It is a robustly shaped sword with carvings of Kaen Fudo Myoo on the omote and a sword with Tokko (vajra) on the ura.

Jigane: Ko-itame hada, well-forged with a refined texture.

Hamon: Made in ko-nie, with a slightly deep nioiguchi in a straight line.
The boshi also has a deep nioiguchi and returns in a rounded shape.

Features:
Although the signature on this blade attributed to Hizen no Kuni Ju Musashi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro is unfortunately likely not genuine, the carvings are well-executed, making it a commendable piece.
It is recommended for use in Iaido.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round iron tsuba with openwork carving of a hedge and pine tree, decorated with gold inlay.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako base engraved with a warrior and pine tree, with gold inlay.
Signature: Mogarashi Nyudo Soten sei
Saya: Glossy black lacquered saya.
Menuki: Shakudo menuki with high-relief carving of a lion.

Aoi Art’s Comment:
The signature on this blade is well-carved but, unfortunately, not authentic.
However, the blade features carvings of Kaen Fudo and comes with well-crafted fittings using antique kodogu.
We highly recommend this piece.
