We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This blade is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Hōki no Kami Fujiwara Hirotaka.
Habaki: Plain copper, double-piece construction

Shape: The blade has standard width and thickness, with a slightly shallow curvature and an extended kissaki, giving it an excellent form.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada. A long wakizashi with a solid and balanced shape.
Hamon: Nioi-based gunome-midare with frequent ashi, and the boshi turns back in a rounded manner.

Features: Hirotaka was a swordsmith of the Shimosaka school in Echizen and is known as a maker of Wazamono.
This blade is close to katana length, signed on the omote with his name and on the ura with “Echizen-jū”.
The current polish is not ideal, and it is expected to improve with a professional re-polish.
