Habaki: Single-layered, made of plain copper

Shape: Shobu-zukuri style blade with shinogi-zukuri construction
Jigane: Finely forged ko-itame hada with faint utsuri appearing
Hamon: Made in ko-nie deki, forming small gunome-midare with sunagashi and kinsuji activity within the blade
Kissaki: Sharply pointed with deep kaeri
Features: Kenshu was a swordsmith from Mino province. Judging from the workmanship, this tanto is believed to be from the Muromachi period.

Fuchikashira: Made of plain copper with silver and gold-colored design of pampas grass
Saya (Scabbard): Gold nashiji lacquered saya with gold-painted Aoi family crest

Kozuka: Brass with engraved arabesque design and family crest decorated with shibuichi color
