Shape:A sword with a wide body, moderate curvature, and an extended kissaki.
Jigane:A well-forged steel with visible hada, resulting in a refined jigane.
Hamon:Made with nioi and featuring both straight temper and hitatsura, producing a gorgeous hamon. The kissaki shows a midarekomi pattern.
Features: This sword bears a long signature and is designated as “Shinshinto, Province Unknown” in the NBTHK Hozon Certificate.
It is a well-preserved piece with notable length and an extended kissaki.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Rectangular iron tsuba with high-relief carving of a lion and peony design.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo nanako base with engraved dragon design and gold inlay.
Saya: Black ishime (stone surface) finish saya.
Menuki: High-relief carving of a dragon on shakudo ground.
