We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Jyojyo Saku (Upper Superior Work) for both Yusuishin Sadayoshi / Sadahito.
Habaki: Single-layered gold foil habaki
Blade Length: 74.8 cm (29.45 in)
Curvature: 2.0 cm (0.79 in)

Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 2.56 cm (1.01 in)

Sword Weight: 855 grams
Shape:A work with wide body, thick kasane, deep curvature, and an extended kissaki.
A bohi (groove) is carved on both omote and ura.
Jigane: Nie-deki with Soshu-den style.
The hamon shows rich activity with sunagashi and kinsuji.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare with double hamon.
Sunagashi and kinsuji appear vividly.
The boshi is midare-komi with hakikake.
Features: This is a collaborative piece by Yusuishin Sadayoshi and Sadahito. Sadayoshi is recognized as a swordsmith evaluated at the level of Mukansa and studied under Gassan Sadakatsu.
He is capable of creating Gassan-style hada (forged patterns).
Born in 1908 (Meiji 41), he became a student of Gassan Sadakatsu in 1928 (Showa 3), and moved to Mishima, Shizuoka in 1943 (Showa 18), naming his smith title “Wakimizu” (pure spring water).
He is said to have chosen Fuji’s spring water to create finer blades, as clear water is essential for swordmaking.
This sword also shows Ayasugi-style hada in parts.
Later, Sadayoshi was recognized as a Mukansa-level swordsmith and received the Masamune Award and other honors.
Koshirae:
Tachi-style Koshirae with a stone resembling coral.
All fittings engraved with “Daki Myoga” family crest.
Saya (Scabbard): Family crest in silver inlay on the saya.
Menuki: Daki Myoga crest carving.
Aoi Art’s Comment: This is a collaborative work by IYusuishin Sadayoshi and Sadahito , with Sadayoshi being recognized as a Mukansa-level swordsmith. As this is a custom-ordered piece, it appears to have been polished with great care.
