This work is ranked as Regular Saku among the works attributed to Mumei (Echizen Shinto).
Habaki: single silver.
Blade Length: 40.6 cm (15.98 in).
Curvature: 0.8 cm (0.31 in).
Mekugi Holes: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.56 cm (1.01 in).
Width at Tip (Sakihaba): 1.74 cm (0.69 in).
Thickness of Rim (Kasane): 0.65 cm (0.26 in).
Sword Weight: 315 g.
Era: Early Edo period.
Shape: Standard width and thickness, with a slightly wide kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada, with a slightly extended kissaki.
Hamon: Ko-nie deki, gunome-midare.
Features: Based on workmanship and shape, this piece is considered to be the work of Echizen Shinto.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Square-shaped iron tsuba with high-relief carving of crescent moon and bird, partly with gold inlay.
On the reverse, a wave design is carved.
Fuchikashira: Shibuichi base.
Kojiri: Kurigata: Shibuichi base.
Saya (Scabbard): Dark brown with decorative patterns.
Menuki: High-relief carving of shell design with gold inlay.
Kozuka: Shakudo base with high-relief carving of human figure and gold inlay.
