Sayagaki: Tegai Kanehiro, attributed to the third generation, circa Bunwa era. Ō-suriage.

We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
This work is ranked as Saijyo Saku among the Mumei (Tegai) works.

Features:The Tegai school traces its origins to Kanenaga at the end of the Kamakura period and is considered a group of swordsmiths who were associated with Tōdai-ji Temple.
This blade has a robust and powerful appearance with a wide mihaba, and the hamon and Jigane is bright and beatiful—an impressive work.
Please note that as the certificate has been reissued, the original NBTHK Juyō designation papers and the original Juyō Zufu are not included.
