Features: Sukehiro was one of the leading swordsmiths of the Osaka Shinto. The 1st and 2nd generation is particularly famous, and this piece was made by the 2nd generation.
Sukehiro the 2nd generation was born in 1637 and learned sword-forging from the 1st generaion. He succeeded tot the 2nd generation in 1655 when the 1st generatino died. He then received the title of Echizen Kami in 1657. He died in 1682.
He is famous as the founder of Doran hamon, the big wavy pattern.

From Aoi-Art: Sukuhiro II was known as the founder of Doranba and often produced gorgeous blade patterns, but this work is unusually straight, and I think it was made to imitate Kanenaga. The beautiful jigane and straight blade with a soft atmosphere are reminiscent of Yamatoden.
