Description: This is a copper relief engraving titled “Old Plum Tree” with gold and silver plating, created by Katsura Mitsuharu (also known as Furōan).
Katsura Mitsuharu was born in 1871 (Meiji 4) in Katsushika Ward, Tokyo.
He studied metal engraving under the second generation Toyokawa Mitsunaga.
He exhibited at the Paris Exposition in 1924 (Taisho 13), and later presented his works at various international exhibitions, receiving numerous awards.
He passed away in 1962 (Showa 37).
