Features:This katana has a well-visible hada (grain pattern) resembling Uda School swords. While it has been appraised as Sue-Seki by Fujishiro, it may belong to an earlier period, and the curvature is well-formed. Based on personal opinion, it could be the work of a Uda smith. The hamon is well-activated, and the itame-hada and masame-hada are clearly visible.

Koshirae (Mountings):Tsuba: NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Tosogu Certified)
Tsuba: Shakudo base with peony arabesque pattern. Unsigned (Attributed to Tachi-shi)
Fuchikashira: Silver base with fine dot carvings
Saya (Scabbard): Dark brown lacquered with small butt end
Menuki: Unknown

Aoi Art’s Comment: This sword has a deep curvature with a well-visible hada. The hamon consists of gunome-midare with double-edged sections, and the boshi forms a midare pattern. It closely resembles works from the Uda School.
