Features:Fujiwara Shigetomo was a swordsmith from Wakasa Province.
The skilled engraving of his signature suggests that he produced a considerable number of works.

Fuchikashira, Kojiri, and Kurigata:
A remarkable iron base piece adorned with arabesque and decorative patterns in gold.
Menuki:
High-relief carving of a shishi (lion) with gold-colored decoration.
Saya:
A brilliant vermilion lacquered saya with gold accents.

Aoi Art’s Comment: This tanto has passed the Tokubetsu Hozon Token certification.
It is an extremely unusual tanto. At first glance, it appears to be kanmuri-otoshi, but in reality, it has an edge on both sides, making it a double-edged blade.
The swordsmith was highly skilled, and the tanto was meticulously crafted.
Additionally, the koshirae is exceptionally well made.
This is a highly recommended piece.
