Features:
Yamato no Kami Tadayuki was a swordsmith of the Takada school in Bungo Province who was active during the early Edo period. His swords are said to be renowned for their excellent cutting ability.
The inscription “Sarashi kitae ” (暴鍛) was an additional inscription frequently used by Tadayuki. Although its exact meaning is unclear, it is believed to refer either to Tadayuki’s original forging method or to a sword forged with exceptional care and attention. The character “暴” means violent or intense.
