The hamon is bright and vivid, and the boshi continues in a midare pattern.

Features: Although unsigned, this blade has been attributed to Hōki no Kami Hirotaka. It retains its original tang (ubu nakago) and features a bright, brilliant chōji-midare hamon. It was forged around the Kanbun era of the Edo period as an example of Echizen Shintō. During the Kanbun period, swords were often designed for thrusting techniques, resulting in blades with relatively shallow curvature and compact kissaki. This wakizashi differs somewhat from that trend, having a more pronounced curvature and a slightly longer kissaki. Its deep nioiguchi and richly varied hamon make it an attractive long wakizashi. It is also offered at a very reasonable price, making it highly recommended.

NBTHK Hozon Token.
AoiArt estimation paper: Whole Oshigata.
Please note: the price does not include the shipping fees.

<img decoding="async" src="https://www.aoijapan.com/img/sword/2023/23822sayagaki.jpg" alt="" width=“40%" height=“40%" /><img decoding="async" src="https://www.aoijapan.com/img/sword/2023/23822_p.jpg" alt="" width=“70%" height=“70%" />

Ordering Number: AS23822 Wakizashi in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Token) Signature: Mumei (Attributed to Hōki no Kami Hirotaka) 無銘(伯耆守汎隆) Shinto: Wazamono: Chūjō-saku: Echizen (We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku).
