The hamon also exhibits double and triple yakiba.<\/p>\n<p>Features: The Ry\u016bmon school flourished from the mid to late Kamakura period. The Ry\u016bmon smiths of Nara are said to have supported the Imperial Court and to have served as the resident swordsmiths of Ry\u016bmon-ji Temple. Their works are generally characterized by suguha hamon in the Yamato tradition. The tightly forged and beautifully refined ko-itame hada of this blade is particularly attractive.
